About Me

You are here: Home / About Me
Sue Stanyon

My drive comes from a passion to:

  • Improve and maintain people’s general wellbeing.
  • Relieve and prevent recurrences of stress related pain.
  • Work with clients to recover from acute or chronic injury or surgery.
  • To ease and prevent a recurrence of a wide range of posture related health problems.
  • Support people with long term conditions such as Fibromyalgia or Parkinsons Disease, alleviating pain and enabling movement.
  • Help clients recognise that the mind and body are one and that making the connections between emotional and physical pain is vital to their long-term health and wellbeing.

Offering the right treatment to my clients depends on listening carefully and being adaptable in supporting them.

Having practised bodywork for more than a decade, Sue had developed an inHaving practised bodywork for more than a decade, I work intuitively to understand what my clients need to improve their wellbeing and/or relieve their pain.

Studying extensively with some of the best tutors in the UK, I attained a Professional Diploma BTEC Level 6 in Advanced Clinical, Sports and Remedial Massage. With my ongoing training I strive constantly to deepen my knowledge and understanding of the body and increases the range of treatments I can offer my clients enabling them to feel more invigorated, relaxed and to enjoy life to the full.

Never stop learning seems to have become a way of life for me and I am constantly developing my skills and knowledge. I have undertaken training with some of the leading practitioners in their specialist areas. These include, James Earls (Anatomy Trains), Ruth Duncan (MFR UK), Art Riggs (Remedial and Deep Tissue Massage), many international teachers with the Upledger Institute and Upledger UK and Sharon Wheeler (ScarWork™).

I work instinctively with each client using a combination of advanced clinical and myofascial techniques. Each treatment really is as individual as each of my clients and I use all my skills to treat your body and your situation appropriately. This means that I do not do a routine treatment but incorporate different techniques to help you feel better.  Combining these techniques facilitates the release of stuck or restricted fascia in your body resulting in decreased pain and improved range of movement. The aim is to move you out of discomfort mostly in 1 – 6 sessions.
